NORD is a joint venture brought to the Liverpool dining scene by GSG Hospitality and Chef Daniel Heffy.
The restaurant will celebrate Northern hospitality and heritage, friendly and engaging service, paired with a food and drink offering built on local relationships with our suppliers.
Influenced by Chef Daniel Heffy’s time in Scandinavia, the NORD menu highlights locally sourced ingredients prepared in a contemporary way. All fish and seafood will be supplied by Birkenhead-based fishmonger, Wards Fish, whilst Caterite in Cockermouth, which has one of the largest salt chambers in the UK, will provide fresh meat. Other suppliers include: Growing @ Field 28, North by Sud-oust Charcuterie, Wirral Watercress, and Claremont Farm.
A native of Liverpool, NORD Executive Chef Daniel Heffys’ career has spanned the city, including setting up The Art School Restaurant with Paul Askew, founding cult supper club Secret Diners Club and owning local favourite, Buyers Club.
Moving to Stockholm in 2017 to work at Frantzén (three Michelin Star), widely renowned as one of the best restaurants in the world, Daniel then joined the esteemed Nordic restaurant, Adam/Albin (one Michelin Star) as Head Chef.
Daniel returned to his hometown to launch NORD with GSG Hospitality, one of the North’s leading independent hospitality groups. Taking inspiration from every part of his culinary journey so far, NORD looks to celebrate Northern heritage and hospitality, sourcing ingredients from local suppliers and championing seasonal produce.
Founded by John Ennis and Matt Farrell in 2009, GSG Hospitality is one of the North’s leading independent hospitality groups, with an ever-growing portfolio across Liverpool and Manchester including bars, restaurants and coffee shops.
